Tanma Trio was formed at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel in September 2023, bringing together three musicians from different cultural and musical backgrounds: a Slovenian clarinetist, a Greek cellist, and an Estonian pianist.
Since their formation, the trio has been mentored by Thomas Dieltjens and Koenraad Hofman, and has also had the opportunity to work with Benjamin Dieltjens, Eric Robberecht, Alexander Declercq, and Herta Hansena. These collaborations have helped shape the trio's approach to chamber music and broadened their artistic perspective.
The trio is currently part of the Advanced Chamber Music Programme at the Orpheus Institute in Ghent, while also pursuing a Master's degree in Chamber Music in Leuven under the guidance of Martijn Vink. Based in Belgium, Tanma Trio performs across the country and beyond.
A particular focus of the ensemble is contemporary music. In June 2027, the trio will premiere new works written specifically for clarinet, cello, and piano during Bled Contemporary Music Week in Slovenia, as part of the precept.concept.percept residency programme of the .abeceda Institute.

Tadeja Malc
ClarinetTadeja Malc is a Slovenian clarinetist who began her musical education at the Music School Cerknica under the guidance of Jernej Šmalc. After seven years of study, she continued at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana in the class of Andrej Zupan. Since 2021, she has been studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Benjamin Dieltjens, where she completed her Bachelor's degree with high distinction in 2024 and her Master's degree in Music and Performing Arts with highest distinction in June 2026.
Throughout her studies, Tadeja has participated in masterclasses with renowned clarinetists including Shirley Brill, Philippe Cuper, Calogero Palermo, Andreas Schablas, Michael Collins, and Hermann Stefánsson. She is also a regular member of Glasba mladih, a Slovenian initiative dedicated to performing, creating, and promoting new vocal and instrumental classical music by young Slovenian composers.
Tadeja regularly performs with symphony orchestras, wind bands, and chamber ensembles across Europe, with a particular interest in exploring diverse repertoire and contemporary music.
Angelika Rizopoulou
CelloAngelika Rizopoulou is a Greek cellist who began her musical education at the age of seven in Athens, where she studied with Nikolas Kavakos, among others. She continued her studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, completing her Bachelor's degree with distinction in the class of Viviane Spanoghe and her Master's degree under the guidance of Olsi Leka.
Throughout her studies, Angelika has participated in masterclasses with renowned cellists including Ann Gastinel, Stephanie Huang, Maja Bogdanović, and Ulrich Voss. An active chamber musician, she has performed extensively in Greece and Belgium and is a founding member of Tanma Trio.
Curious and open-minded in her artistic approach, Angelika is particularly interested in exploring new musical ideas and collaborations. She has gained experience performing with various orchestras and is especially passionate about contemporary music, having premiered works by emerging composers both as a soloist and as a chamber musician.
Madis Aasalo
PianoMadis Aasalo is an Estonian pianist who performs as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe. He began his musical education at the age of seven in his hometown in Estonia and, at sixteen, was admitted to the Georg Ots College of Music in Tallinn, where he studied with Ralf Taal.
Since 2021, Madis has continued his studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where he completed his Bachelor's degree with Daniel Blumenthal and his Master's degree under the guidance of Jan Michiels.
Madis has received prizes at several piano competitions, including third prize at Kaunas Sonorum, and has participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists such as Paavali Jumppanen, Anahit Nerseyan, Lauri Väinmaa, Irina Zahharenkova, and Olga Zdorenko. He is most active as a chamber musician, collaborating with musicians from diverse backgrounds and exploring a broad range of repertoire.
